Sacramental Awakened: Turned to stone

Waffles with cum, Donkeys with downs, The Adolf Hitler experience, you fucking name it, for it will anyway be a better name than Sacramental Awakened is. And yeah, shouldn’t it be Sacramental Awakening? Fuck off, ya Belgian geitenaukers. Not that the Belgian scene is through and through awful, Aborted alone prevents it from being so, but shit like this, boring bands in an emotional vacuum, they do have plenty of. I wouldn’t know why.
At first I thought to leave them alone, be arrogant and ignore them entirely, as they are indeed not worthy anyone’s time, but their lyrics changed my mind, or rather the way Mr. Shitvocalist make them sound like the biggest exaggeration since a Chinese claimed to have a 12 inch penis. I hate pretenders, just what this fucking idiot is. The lyrics deal with life and death, not bad per se, but if you plan to tell the world you have nothing to live for and that your life is terrible, at least sound a bit haunted, desperate, hateful, whatever fuck, as long as true emotions are put into the effort. Even suicidal will do. I might not like it, but at least I’ll respect it. Mr. Ican’tsingforshit hasn’t lost shit, probably not even his virginity.
The actual music is so fucking anemic and mind-numbingly boring I had to look up The Metal Archives to know what label besides piss poor I should tack on their meh-ish output, melodic death metal I’m told. I do not agree, in my ears this is grey core. Yup, that is now officially a new genre. Apart from a couple minutes worth of nice guitar work as found in “Corporation of corruption”, there really isn’t much happening here, making them songs harder to discern than a Ching from a Chang in a Chinese parade march.
In the dark.
This lot knows how to handle their instruments, is in-sync, has a decent production, all that, but couldn’t write an exciting tune even if bred on LSD for a month. And if they did, you can ta faen on that Mr. Ishouldn’thavebeenbornwithvocalchords would have taken a big, smelly shit all over anyway.
